GET TO KNOW
From the first idea to Tri Vody
intention of architect Emil Križo was not to build a dominant feature, but to create an organic part of the environment. The use of raw materials – stone, wood and concrete – allows the buildings to age naturally and blend into the ecosystem.
Resort construction milestones
Summer 2018
Takeover and new vision. The goal is to transform the original intention into a resort with a clear functional identity and uncompromising service.
Spring 2019
An architectural turnaround. The decision to collaborate with architect Emil Križo, whose design defined the current visual and functional character of the complex.
Autumn 2019
Start of construction and implementation of demanding technological infrastructure in mountainous terrain.
June 2022
Finalization and acceptance. Completion of the last, seventeenth building after 2 years and 9 months of meticulous construction.
Until today
Successful completion of the project: functionality of the resort in practice and sustainability of standards.
Springs as an element of the area
Origin of the name
The name of the resort is based on real drainage wells, which were necessary to be implemented as part of the foundation of buildings in the challenging geological subsoil.
Spring symbol
At the heart of the site, these three boreholes end in a concrete well, which serves as a central point of orientation and a symbol of the resort's founding.
Material dialogue
The water from the well flows through traditional fir gutters. This element combines modern exposed concrete with a reference to the historical technologies of Liptov woodcutters.
Aquatic ecosystem
The symbolism of the three waters is present in the area in its physical essence – springing water from a spring, flowing water in a mountain stream, and the calm surface of the central pond.
Functional aesthetics
Water elements are not just decoration, but form a closed hydro-system that naturally cools the microclimate of the resort and serves for regeneration after sauna use.
Roman Palaj on the values and direction of the department
„"We refused to build a dormitory with a modern facade, or more cottages"“
„"When we took over this project in 2018, we had a clear condition: we would not participate in the caricature of luxury that is common in our mountains.". We didn't want to build a dormitory with a modern facade, or more cottages. We wanted a resort that works as a system, not as a collection of random objects.
We were looking for an architect who understood discipline. Emil Križo's proposal convinced us immediately - it had thought, courage, purity and functional urbanism. We have never believed in tourism without services, whose sole goal is maximum price at minimum costs (except shiny marketing without real value), where the guest is greeted and also checked out only by a coded key box. We dedicated three years to ensuring that every technical detail, from drainage wells to facilities and equipment, served the real needs of guests.
"For us, Tri Vody is not just an investment. It is proof that when you combine top-notch architecture with uncompromising operational standards, you create a place that doesn't need marketing labels. Its quality is in its functionality."“
